The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) is planning to launch a new scheme called NEAT to provide wider access to adaptive learning, making learning personalised and customised as per a learner’s requirement.

  • The learning platform, which will be a public-private partnership, is the National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT).
  • The Ministry is roping in Start-ups using artificial intelligence to join the platform.
  • To join, these start-ups need to provide 25% free coupons for students from disadvantaged communities.
  • NEAT will have an apex committee administered by the MHRD.
