FAMILY AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Ishita Kishore graduated in 2017 with a degree in economics from the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), part of Delhi University. Kishore, a 26-year-old woman, was brought up by her father, an Air Force officer, and mother, a private school teacher. Her older brother works as a lawyer. "She chose the Indian Administrative Service, and the Uttar Pradesh cadre is her top preference.

Daughter of a retired Air Force officer, Ishita Kishore works for the multinational firm Ernst and Young. WHY CIVIL SERVICES

Ishita Kishore claimed that in order to prepare for the test, she used to study for at least eight to nine hours per day. She told the news agency PTI that achieving the top spot in the civil services exam was like a “dream come true” for her and that, as an IAS officer, she would seek to advance women’s empowerment.

She took part in a variety of extracurricular activities while she was in high school and college. She presided over Interact, a group sponsored by Rotary, and she participated in fictitious UN meetings at school events. During her time at college, she participated in the Economic Society and Literary Society. She was an intern for the NGO CRY as well.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE ASPIRANTS

If you're going to make the important decision to sit for the civil services examination, you must put in the hours and work, regardless of how good your academic performance is. The civil services test requires significant and diligent preparation to pass. The trip was pretty drawn out. I made an attempt to spend 40 to 45 hours per week on preparation. One of the most important factors and tools for a candidate to succeed in this exam are consistency and discipline. One must also periodically review their study strategy at predetermined intervals.
