{"id":2948,"date":"2021-01-18T14:45:16","date_gmt":"2021-01-18T09:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/?p=2948"},"modified":"2021-01-18T14:45:16","modified_gmt":"2021-01-18T09:15:16","slug":"toycathon-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/toycathon-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Toycathon-2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In News<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cabinet Ministry launches Toycathon 2021 and Toycathon\nPortal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In-Detail<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Cabinet Ministry launched Toycathon 2021 and Toycathon portal.<\/li><li>This is aimed to conceptualize innovative toys based on the Indian value system.<\/li><li>This will inculcate positive behavior and good value among children.<\/li><li>Toycathon is organized to develop India as the global toy manufacturing hub.<\/li><li>The Indian toy market at present is worth $1 billion with 80% of the toys being imported.<\/li><li>The launch of toycathon will create an ecosystem for the domestic toy industry and local manufacturers and utilizing their potential.<\/li><li>The National Education Policy 2020 lays emphasis on innovation and research in learning, starting from primary education.<\/li><li>The aim of Toycathon is to capture the innovative prowess of 33 crore students across the country.<\/li><li>The collaboration with the Ministry of Education on Toycathon will bring together students, faculties from schools, colleges, and universities to achieve Atmanirbhar Bharat.<\/li><li>This is the first time in the country where school children can innovate, design, and conceptualize toys especially for disabled children \u2018divyang children\u2019.<\/li><li>The students and faculty members who participate will receive prize money of up to 50 lakhs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toycathon-2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Toycathon is jointly\nlaunched by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development\n(MWCD), Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of I&amp;B, Ministry of Commerce and\nIndustries and Ministry of MSME.<\/li><li>Toycathon is a special\nkind of hackathon where students, faculties,\ndesign experts and toy manufactures and startups will get together for\ndeveloping toys and games that are based on Indian culture, ethos, heros and\nlocal folklore and Indian Value system.<\/li><li>This hackathon will\nhelp India expand into a global hub for toys\nand games.<\/li><li>It will also help\nchildren to understand the ethos and values of Indian culture as envisaged in\nNational Education Policy 2020.<\/li><li>The Toycathon is based\non Nine Themes namely<ul><li>Indian Culture<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>History<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Knowledge of India and\nEthos<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Learning, Education,\nand Schooling<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Social and human\nvalues<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Occupations and\nspecific fields<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Environment<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Divyang<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Fitness and sport<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Out of box creative\nand logical thinking and<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Rediscovering or\nredesigning traditional Indian toys<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>There will be three\nvariants of tracks for the students and teachers to participate in the\ntoycathon will be junior level, senior level and startup level.<\/li><li>There will be two\noptions for the participants to submit their ideas- they can submit ideas for\nthe published problems or under the novel toy concept category.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>In News Cabinet Ministry launches Toycathon 2021 and Toycathon Portal.
