{"id":2926,"date":"2021-01-04T14:18:53","date_gmt":"2021-01-04T08:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/?p=2926"},"modified":"2021-01-04T14:18:53","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T08:48:53","slug":"pm-launches-affordable-housing-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/pm-launches-affordable-housing-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Launches Affordable Housing Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In News <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prime Minister of India laid the foundation for\naffordable housing projects to be constructed across six cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In-Detail<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Prime Minister\nNarendra Modi laid the foundation stone for<strong>\nSix Light House Projects in six cities.<\/strong><\/li><li>These projects are\npart of the <strong>Global Housing Technology\nChallenge-India (GHTC-India) initiative.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>The key feature of the project is to build 1000 houses each\nin six cities.<\/strong><\/li><li>The six cities include\n<ul><li>Indore-Madhya Pradesh<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Rajkot-Gujarat<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Chennai- Tamil Nadu<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Agartala-Tripura<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Ranchi-Jharkhand and <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Lucknow-Uttar Pradesh.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>The duration for the completion of the project will be 12\nmonths.<\/strong><\/li><li>The most modern\nconstruction practices will be adopted from countries such as France, Germany\nand Canada.<\/li><li>The aim is to use new\ntechnologies to provide resilient, affordable and\ncomfortable housing for the poor and the middle class.<\/li><li>The <strong>Global Housing Technology Challenge\nprovides the scope for incubating technologies for construction and innovation.<\/strong><\/li><li>The project sites will\nbe visited by planners, architects and students.<\/li><li>The newly adopted\ntechnologies will be molded in accordance with\nthe local requirements.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>In the lighthouse projects, 1000 houses will be built each in Indore,\nChennai, Agartala, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Lucknow.<\/li><li>The houses will be\nconstructed using <strong>prefabricated sandwich\npanel system in Indore.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>In Rajkot<\/strong>, the <strong>monolithic concrete construction system\nusing tunnels<\/strong> from France will be adopted.<\/li><li>The <strong>US and Finland\u2019s precast concrete\ntechnology will be used for the construction of houses in Chennai.<\/strong><\/li><li>In <strong>Ranchi, a 3-D construction system from\nGermany<\/strong> will be used.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits Under GHTC-India<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The middle class will\nbe benefited from the relaxation in the home loan interest rates.<\/li><li>The new <strong>Real Estate Regulation and Development Act\n(RERA)<\/strong> will provide protection to the middle class.<\/li><li>To promote the real\nestate sector, a series of measures are also\nconsidered.<\/li><li>To encourage buyers,\ntaxes on affordable and regular houses had been reduced significantly.<\/li><li>The Central Rental\nHousing Complex Project was initiated with the objective of issues faced by the\nmigrant workers.<\/li><li>This was initiated in\ncoordination with the industrialists and investors.<\/li><li><strong>Through GHTC-India 54 innovative housing construction\ntechnologies were identified.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>In News The Prime Minister of India laid the foundation for affordable housing projects to be constructed across six cities.
