{"id":2510,"date":"2020-01-28T11:28:41","date_gmt":"2020-01-28T05:58:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/?p=2510"},"modified":"2024-06-07T16:23:18","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T10:53:18","slug":"two-unmanned-missions-and-vyoma-mitra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/two-unmanned-missions-and-vyoma-mitra\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Unmanned Missions and Vyoma Mitra"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In News <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ISRO Chairman K Sivan has detailed about two\nunmanned missions as part of the Gaganyaan mission and unveiled Vyomamitra, the\nandroid robot that would be sent to space before the astronauts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In-Detail <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The Gaganyaan mission is slated\nfor launch in December 2021. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the inaugural session of a\nsymposium on \u201cHuman Spaceflight and Exploration \u2014 Present Challenges and Future\nTrends,\u201d Sivan had mentioned that before the launch of the Gaganyaan mission,\nthere will be two unmanned space missions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One in December 2020 and the\nother in June 2021.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As per the chairman, the\nGaganyaan mission is not only aiming for the first human space flight but also\nwill be setting up a platform for a new space station that will have continuous\nhuman space presence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thus, to fulfil the future\nrequirements, ISRO has initiated a full-fledged astronaut training facility\nnear Bengaluru. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The space agency is also\ncollaborating with other space agencies like NASA and Roscosmos on human space\nflight and is learning from their experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also, ISRO is looking towards\nthe Gaganyaan mission to assist it in the long-term goal of interplanetary\nmissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As far as the technology for\nthe mission is concerned, ISRO has already demonstrated its capabilities by\ndeveloping a 10-tonne payload-carrying launcher, space-grade parachutes, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The four astronauts for the\nmission have already been selected from a pool of Indian Air Force pilots and\nwill go space flight tests soon. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vyomamitra <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>At the symposium, ISRO has also\nunveiled its space robot, the <strong>Vyomamitra, that would be sent to space in one\nof the unmanned missions before the Gaganyaan<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vyomamitra is a lady robot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The name is a combination of\ntwo Sanskrit words &#8211; Vyoma (Space) and Mitra (Friend).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The robot is designed to\nperform life support operations, monitor module parameters, switch panel\noperations, etc. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The robot would also converse\nwith the astronauts, recognise them and can also respond to their queries. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental life support\nfunctions like detecting temperature changes in the cabin, change in air condition\nand warning the astronauts. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The human space flight is a big step in ISRO\u2019s journey and it is toiling hard to make it successful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>In News ISRO Chairman K Sivan has detailed about two unmanned missions as part of the Gaganyaan mission and unveiled Vyomamitra, the android robot that <a class=\"mh-excerpt-more\" href=\"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/two-unmanned-missions-and-vyoma-mitra\/\" title=\"Two Unmanned Missions and Vyoma Mitra\">    [read more]<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":2511,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[98],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.9 -
