{"id":2187,"date":"2019-09-07T14:43:32","date_gmt":"2019-09-07T09:13:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/?p=2187"},"modified":"2019-09-07T14:43:34","modified_gmt":"2019-09-07T09:13:34","slug":"campaign-promoting-eat-right-movement-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/campaign-promoting-eat-right-movement-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Campaign Promoting \u2018Eat Right Movement\u2019 Launched"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In News <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry has launched a\ncampaign promoting \u2018eat right movement\u2019 &#8211; POSHAN Maah 2019 &#8211; across the\ncountry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In-Detail<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>POSHAN Maah 2019 is a year-long campaign\ninvolving social and mass media campaigns on Eat Right India movement. <\/li><li>The Ministry led the movement by a tweet-a-day\nthat will focus on a weekly theme of eating right for the next 365 days. <\/li><li>The Ministry has also launched an eat right\nIndia logo representing a healthy plate.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There will also be an online quiz and online course for health\nworkers as part of the campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Need<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Consuming the right food is the first and\npreventive step in disease occurrence. <\/li><li>Non-communicable diseases like diabetes,\nhypertension, and heart diseases are caused due to not consuming the right\nfood. The burden of these diseases is increasing day-by-day on the country. <\/li><li>Also, vitamin and mineral deficiency due to\nimproper food intake is adding to the risk of food-borne illnesses.<\/li><li>Thus, the Eat Right Movement promotes preventive\nhealth by triggering social and behavioural change through a mix of regulatory\nmeasures, and soft intervention in the form of generating awareness, capacity\nbuilding of citizens and food businesses. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In Alignment&nbsp; <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The movement is in alignment with the goals of\nflagship government programmes like POSHAN Abhiyaan, Ayushman Bharat Yojana,\nSwachh Bharat Mission, and Anemia Mukt Bharat. <\/li><li>FSSAI has also made regulatory provisions to\npromote right eating. It has three major pillars in its regulatory functions &#8211;\nEat safe, Eat Healthy and Eat sustainably. <\/li><li>Already it has prescribed the amount of Total\nPolar Compounds (TPC) at 25% in cooking oils that will reduce the harmful\neffects of reused cooking oil.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Health and nutrition go hand-in-hand. Poor dietary habits are the major reasons for the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and hypertension in the country.
