{"id":1520,"date":"2019-04-10T15:48:46","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T10:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/?p=1520"},"modified":"2019-04-10T15:48:46","modified_gmt":"2019-04-10T10:18:46","slug":"atal-ranking-of-institutions-on-innovation-achievements-ariia-released-by-the-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/atal-ranking-of-institutions-on-innovation-achievements-ariia-released-by-the-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) Released by the President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>President Ram Nath Kovind<\/em><\/span> has released the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) and has awarded the ARIIA awards to the two top-ranking institutions.<\/p>\n<h3>ARIIA :-<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The rankings were launched by the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Ministry of Human Resource Development<\/em><\/span> (MHRD) to tank all major higher educational institutions across the country on metrics like innovation and entrepreneurship development among faculties and students.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The following are the Indicators Considered for the Rankings:<\/strong><\/em>\n<ol>\n<li>Budget &amp; Funding Support &#8211; <strong>20 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Infrastructure &amp; Facilities &#8211; <strong>10 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Awareness, Promotions &amp; support for Idea Generation &amp; Innovation &#8211; <strong>20 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Promotion &amp; Support for Entrepreneurship Development &#8211; <strong>20 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Innovative Learning Methods &amp; Courses &#8211; <strong>10 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Intellectual Property Generation, Technology Transfer &amp; Commercialization &#8211; <strong>14 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Innovation in Governance of the Institution &#8211; <strong>06 Marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>The rankings will enable the institutions to take up high-end research, develop entrepreneurship among the students and develop innovative mindsets among them.<\/li>\n<li>ARIIA focuses on quality of innovations and their impact nationally and internationally.<\/li>\n<li>ARIIA gives a direction for institutions for future development and make them globally competitive and place them in the forefront of innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The Rankings :-<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>This is the <strong>first edition<\/strong> of the rankings.<\/li>\n<li>The Ranking are declared in two categories &#8211; Government-funded Institutions and Private-funded Institutions.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Vellore Institute of Technology<\/strong> (VIT) secured the top spot among the private universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>In Conclusion :-<\/h3>\n<p>Innovation has been the buzzword of the 21st century. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classiciasacademy.com\/blog\/tag\/india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">India<\/span><\/a> has been steadily improving its innovation status. In terms of innovation ranking, the country has gone from 86th rank to 57th rank in just 5 years. Still, more needs to be done.<\/p>\n<p>In the country, research and innovation is being done in government-run organizations and multi-national companies.
